I am liking this! It's not what I excepted though, I was thinking it would be a likt a little popp-y-er sound, but I still love it. The begging reminds me of songs more from I Am the Movie, really fast, frantic, kind of Hardcore. Now need to get a better liten to the lyrics! =D I am so happy! you're back. but not necessarily a bad thing. One of the things that is so great about MCS is their use of keyboards. I hope that the keyboards are featured more prominently in the other songs. Pretty rockin' tune though!!

Not exactly sure what you mean by that. When most people refer to musicians as "tight" on-stage or in a studio, they are referring to the fact that they play as one cohesive unit. This recording certainly depicts that!! Perhaps your ears are flawed?

I think he just means the slang version of it not being as good. Personally I think that Justin's vocal intro in this song isn't as up to par as their older stuff. Otherwise, fantastic song.

just like everyone else has said. But it's a good kind of different. The kind that makes you listen to this song on repeat for the rest of the day. It does kind of remind me of The Mountain Goats at parts which was really unexpected. But it's definitely not a bad thing.

I judged this song far too quickly. Listening to it the first time through, I literally felt fearful that I had been waiting for the new CD for nothing. I hated it. After 10 minutes, I decided to give it another listen. I. Love. MCS. This is an amazing song guys. I absolutely cannot wait for My Dinosaur Life.

I love love love Disappear...it is my favorite type of Motion City: raw and kick ass, like Throwdown and Don't Call it a Comeback, I envision them playing Rutgersfest in the pouring rain even though the guitar wasn't working.

This totally made my day(: Motion City Soundtrack has been my favorite band for four years now. I've been waiting so long to hear some new stuff, but I am glad you guys took your time writing and recording because I don't think music should be painfully pushed out like a crying, newborn baby in the middle of childbirth. It kills the creator sometimes.

Anyways, I love the beat of Disappear. However, I do agree that it doesn't really have the Motion City Soundtrack feel. If I heard it, I wouldn't have guessed it was by MCS, but that's also what I like about it. It's unique and that's what all MCS songs are. They're all different and unique and I just love how I never get the songs confused.

I wish you guys would've posted the lyrics too. I like seeing the words as I hear them. Still, can't wait to buy the new album!

I love it! I love how Disappear sounds different! That's the best part about listening to new material If all bands just put out albums that just sounded the same as their old material, then what would be the point? Looking forward to the rest of the album for sure

I agree that different is good. Showing musical diversity is what draws me to a particular musician or band. But sticking to their "roots" is also a key component to a good band. I like the song, however it doesn't have the same MCS flavour. There are virtually no keyboards in this song and Justin's voice definitely sounds different. When I think of an MCS song I think of that great sounding synth. Hopefully Jesse is featured more prominently in the new record on the other songs. Can't wait for it!!!

i just think the lyrics (what hes actually saying) doesnt mesh with the music and guitar parts and the mood the music gives you

Things I have grown to love about MCS

-lyrics: intricate, full of imagery, my favorite word smiths, makes my heart swell
-vocals: embellished - original – dynamic -compliments the lyrics
-instrumentals: also intricate, full of embellishments, focus changes from vocals to instruments and they play off each other to create feelings and stories.

If bands as a collective group were one person I would call them just as human as the rest of us, changing with our experiences, loves, loss, lyrically laughing at the little things in life. Not sure if Justin primarily writes the lyrics, but I feel that I can relate to all those little details in life he points out which usually go unnoticed by the masses. But where are the keyboards in this song? They are so subtle. Where is the full bodied flavor of the musical merlot that gets me so song drunk? The lyrics in this song are good...but when he sings "I can decompose" I want to hear his vocals decompose, and the intruments, maybe during the short guitar solo/bridge....you know what I mean? I want to the intruments to tell the story as well. But what can I say? Some people like it raw and to the point. Others need passion and romance. (I'm still talking about music here

Perhaps I am being somewhat critical because I feel like Justin is my vocal soul mate…and the last two albums were perfect for my vocal range. Still, guys, I am with you ‘til the end….I guess I will have to learn to love it rough and raw..

Not only do I adore the new track, I'm impressed how your evolution is taking a route to "f*** yeah!" instead of "What the f***". There is definately true mcs style here. Trying out new things has proven very positive for you in the past - i'm sure this will be no exception, and "My Dinosaur Life" will come to be cherished. Have you ever released a bad record? Or even an okay one? No, they've all been f***ing awesome. Mr. Pierre doesn't sound like the "I Am The Movie", but this isn't a track from "I Am The Movie". I appreciate the similarities, but who wants a xerox from a band that's too afraid to try new things? You fearless boys seem to take a new turn with every album, and it's always resulted in fresh "where were you all my life?" feelings for your fans. As for complaints of the moog absence, the sound would be cluttered with it, therfore that means sacrificing something else, and i don't see anything I'd want to leave out.

i love this, i think it does sounds like them, just sounds more like the days of red dress and the whole i am the movie album. i love it i cant wait for the rest of the album, MCS had better be coming to the UK. im dying to see them again
