well, a great tour is over and i'm on my way home.. and by "on my way home" i mean sleeping in the JFK terminal until my rebooked flight takes off tomorrow morning. my flight was cancelled due to "weather" and the only hotel options nearby are days inn and comfort inn. those morons are asking for $200 a night. sure, i'm a guy with pockets as deep as the atlantic (ha... ha? sigh..), but i'm protesting on principle. those rooms are crap and not worth near that amount. so i decided to hang out here for 11 hours. i had dinner at "mex and the city" (yes, an incredibly clever and side-splittingly hilarious mash-up of mexican food and the show that we all know and hate starring the one and only kim cattrall) where i consumed quite possibly the world's worst burrito. it had a full chicken bone in it. i'm pretty sure that wasn't on the menu. then i sat and listening to some tunes and then hung out with some other misfortunate strangers at the bar and watched the NBA finals. nice, lakers! keep it up. give us 7 games! now i'm sleeping on this bench next to this group of high school theatre kids and the family with 14 kids under the age of 6 (yeah, i tried doing the math. it didn't work out for me either). hey, at least a nice airline employee just offered me a blanket. now i'm in that weird i'm-too-hot-with-the-blanket-on-but-too-cold-with-the-blanket-off zone where normally i'd be sleeping sockless and bring one full leg outside of the blanket to compensate, but it's an airport, so i can't really violate the "no shirt no shoes no service" policy. hmmm.. a dilemma. hopefully i'll make it thru this alive.
i hate weather and the aviation industry. thanks for listening.
ps. fat kid, if you happen to be reading this and you jump up and down on my bench again, i WILL end you. good night.
If i was intelligent and knew how to post links, i would do that. But, I am not, so I won't.
I have been majorly slacking on the blogging I know, but I was asked to do a blog for moderndrummer.com, so head on over there if you care!
her name is raven and her mother just shared with me a link to her audition for the little miss heinz 2008 contest.

in case you are slow on the uptake, this is a mock audition. it was written and improvised by raven. we worked together on a movie i wrote and directed called "make-a-wish" that will be finished soon, hopefully. i just wanted to share with you what a talented actress she is. hope you enjoy!!!

my friend kristina has sent me a link that I think people should check out. i think the best thing would be to just post it and have those interested in discussion start a new thread in the community link. i'd love to hear what your thoughts are. thanks.

let me begin by apologizing for my lack of research. apparently, the title of my last entry was the polish version of the word. this new entry title is the correct, ukrainian version of the word(albeit old ukrainian as the new ukrainian way to say this is: budmo!). whatever.
we started shooting this past wednesday evening, stealing shots on sunset boulevard during rush hour driving 5mph with our hazards on in the middle of the street. fittingly it was right in front of the cinematographers guild building. poor patrick had to ride around on a children's bicycle in a bathrobe while holding a rather impressively clumsy suitcase. funny thing was, nobody gave a fuck! we also rented a hotel room in burbank where we spent the entire thursday shooting patrick in a tub full of dirty water. he was way too willing to sit in that tub of muck all day. we also filmed a spaghetti fight on the bed between patrick and kristina while blasting tom waits' "big in japan" at maximum volume. again, nobody gave a fuck! the last day of the shoot was out at point dume in malibu. this time we had permits but we ended up chasing the sun all day. i was very stressed and unfortunately was curt with a lot of people but in the end we got everything we needed to finish the film. that's not to say we got exactly what we wanted, but we did find a way to pull it all together.
i would like to thank all the people who helped us on this project for payment way below their talents. it's great when people come together for the common good. also i have to thank patrick stump and kristina klebe for putting up with my ridiculous demands on this project. i've never seen two people eat that much spaghetti in one sitting. thanks for believing in me.
patrick and i are soon going to commence writing music for this piece. as we are both busy boys, there is no specific end date on the horizon. i will try and leak a few photos to the internet so you all can see what we're trying to do and perhaps even say, "what the fuck?"
